Depression

Everyone feels sad or down from time to time. It is a normal healthy part of life. Depression, however, refers to a constant feeling of sadness or loss of interest and pleasure in activities you used to enjoy.

In young children, depression may appear as irritable rather than depressed mood. In both children and adults, depression involves changes in how you feel, think and behave.  If these changes last for two or more weeks, you may be experiencing depression.
